House Rules

General
The house and bathing rules serve the purpose of safety, order and cleanliness of vabali spa. By entering the spa, each guest accepts these and all other regulations issued to maintain operational safety. All guests of vabali spa are requested to show consideration for each other and to observe the house and bathing rules. In all premises, behaviour must be in accordance with personal hygiene and cleanliness. We must ask you to clean yourself thoroughly before using the facilities. All facilities must be treated with care. In case of health difficulties, we advise you to consult your doctor before visiting vabali spa. Wishes, suggestions and complaints will be received by the management.

Admission
For the use of vabali spa, a fee is charged in arrears according to the currently valid price list. Prices and opening hours are as posted on the notice board. Each guest receives a transponder which is intended for the automatic operation of the turnstiles at the entrance and exit as well as for the cloakroom locker. In addition, all services used during the stay (gastronomy, massages) are booked on the transponder and only paid for at check-out. The transponder must be kept with you during your stay at vabali spa. If parts of the facility are not in operation, this does not entitle you to a reduction in the entrance fee.

Opening hours and access
The opening hours are announced on a notice board. Vabali spa may restrict the use of the spa or parts thereof at any time for operational safety or technical reasons without granting a reduction in the admission fee. Excluded from the use of the spa are persons under the influence of alcohol or intoxicating substances. Children are permitted to enter the spa from the age of 7. All children and young people under the age of 18 must be accompanied by their legal guardian. The guardian is responsible for the supervision of minors. Prices and opening hours are as posted in the respective version. Should any provision of this contract be or become invalid, the effect of the remaining provisions of the contract shall not be affected.

Duration of stay
The length of stay, including undressing and dressing, is based on the admission tariff chosen by the guest. The length of stay begins with the use of the turnstile and ends with the use of the turnstile. If the selected length of stay is exceeded, there is an obligation to make an additional payment. However, the stay ends at the latest when the spa closes. Prices and opening hours are as posted in the respective version. Should any provision of this contract be or become invalid, the effect of the remaining provisions of the contract shall not be affected.

Behaviour
Every guest must behave in the facility in such a way that no other guest feels inconvenienced by him/her. Spa guests are requested to arrange their behaviour in such a way that safety, order and cleanliness are not impaired. The wearing of bathing shoes and a bathrobe or kimono is mandatory. For hygienic reasons, the pools and saunas may not be entered with shoes. There is no entitlement to a seat or lounger. These may also not be reserved by placing towels, bags etc. on them. If objects are placed on sunbeds for this purpose, they will be removed by the spa staff. Loungers and waterbeds are to be used individually and only with a pad (towel or bathrobe). The water areas may only be entered via the designated entrances. The wearing of swimming goggles is not permitted. Jumping, pushing or throwing objects or other persons into the water is not permitted. The mode of locomotion at vabali spa is walking. Please use only the designated paths, stairs and ladders. In the event of non-use and resulting damage to property or personal injury, the operator excludes all liability. Any liability is also excluded for hazards of everyday life. Please switch off your mobile phone when entering the facility and lock it in the locker with you. The use of smartphones and photo-enabled electronic devices is not permitted.

Please reduce tenderness to a minimum. In the bathing facilities (sauna cabins, pools, relaxation rooms, etc.) please refrain from doing so altogether. Breakable containers made of glass, ceramics or similar are not permitted in the entire spa. Spa and sauna areas are to be used only after thorough body cleansing. The use of soap or shower gel is not permitted outside the shower areas. Washing of clothing, dyeing or tinting of hair and shaving is not permitted. Smoking is only permitted in designated areas outside. The consumption of pipe tobacco, cigarillos and cigars is not permitted.

Sauna facility
Infusions in the sauna are only carried out by expert staff. Own sauna essences may not be used, sauna caps, hats etc. are prohibited. Towels may not be hung up to dry in the sauna cabins. Only textile-free saunas may be used in the sauna cabins in the sauna area. During sauna bathing, a terry towel must always be placed underneath to prevent contact between wood and skin. Sauna kilts are not permitted for this purpose. The sauna facility is not an institution of free body culture. For this reason, we ask you to dress in a sauna towel or bathrobe in the corridors of the changing rooms, after the sauna session and the cool-down phase. A bathrobe must be worn in the catering and lounge areas.

Lost property
All liability is excluded for valuables. This applies, among other things, to bathing utensils, lost property and items locked in the lockers. Lost property must be handed in to the vabali spa staff. The treatment of lost property is governed by the provisions of the German Civil Code (BGB). The regulations § 965 to 967 and 969 to 977 BGB do not apply according to § 978 BGB. The lost property is handed in to the city’s lost property office on a monthly basis.

Supervision
The instructions of the staff must be followed in all cases. The vabali spa is responsible for deciding on the house rules. Guests who violate the house and bathing rules can be temporarily or permanently excluded from using vabali spa. The exclusion does not lead to any reduction or exemption of the fee to be paid. For security reasons, our changing rooms (partially) as well as the reception area are under video surveillance (see notice in front of each changing room). Each guest has the choice at check-in to select an area according to their personal preference. In the changing rooms, cabins outside the recording radius are also available.

Compensation
Each guest is responsible for his or her own key. In case of loss or misuse, any liability of Vabali Spa Düsseldorf GmbH & Co. KG / Vabali Spa Berlin GmbH & Co. KG / Vabali Spa Hamburg GmbH & Co. KG is excluded. In case of loss of the key the guest has to pay a fee of 15€. In the event of misuse, culpable soiling or negligent and intentional damage, the person causing the damage is liable for the damage. The responsible staff member, all department heads and the management are entitled to take the personal details of the person causing the damage in order to secure claims for damages. The operator is not liable for any discolouration/damage to bathing clothes, jewellery or watches, as this can occur due to the nature of the water and wood. The operators of the vabali spa accept no liability for damage caused by physical injury.

Liability
The use of vabali spa and its ancillary facilities by the guests is at their own risk, without prejudice to the obligation of the operator to maintain vabali spa and its ancillary facilities in a roadworthy condition. The operator is not liable for force majeure. Furthermore, the liability of the operator and his vicarious agents for simple negligence is excluded. This limitation of liability does not apply to damages resulting from injury to life, body or health. These house and bathing rules are bindingly accepted by all visitors to the vabali spa upon entering the premises. In case of non-compliance, the operator excludes any liability. In case of doubt, the owner reserves the right to expel guests from the facility without refunding the entrance fee.
